Steps to List a Service Request on the Conservation Directory
Step 1: Create an Account / Log In
- Visit Conserve & Connect.
- If you already have an account, log in.
- If new, sign up and complete your profile.
Step 2: Navigate to the Service Request Section
- Click on "Post a Service Request" or a similar option in the navigation menu.
Step 3: Provide Project Details
- Project Title: Clearly state the type of service required.
- Project Description: Provide a detailed summary of the restoration or conservation work.
- Location: Indicate if the project is location-specific or can be done remotely.
- Timeline: Specify the project deadline or preferred schedule.
- Budget (Optional): Include estimated budget, if applicable.
Step 4: Set Privacy & Visibility Preferences
- Public or Private Listing: Choose whether the request is visible to all service providers or only to invited ones.
- Anonymity Option: Decide if your personal details should be hidden from public listings.
Step 5: Select Service Categories
- Choose relevant service categories (e.g., Stone Conservation, Timber Restoration, Metalwork, etc.) to match with suitable professionals.
Step 6: Upload Supporting Materials (Optional)
- Attach images, plans, or documents that help clarify the scope of work.
Step 7: Review & Submit
- Double-check all details for accuracy.
- Click Submit to publish your request.
Step 8: Receive & Manage Responses
- Service providers may respond with proposals or requests for more details.
- You can message potential providers through the platform’s secure messaging system.
Step 9: Select a Service Provider
- Review proposals, compare expertise, and select a provider that best fits your needs.
Step 10: Close the Request (Optional)
- Once a provider is chosen, you can mark the request as fulfilled or remove it from active listings.
Step 11: Provide Feedback (Post-Service)
- After completion, leave a review for the service provider to help others in the community.
